Swede is a fantastic vegetable – high in vitamins A and C and also very delicious. But it can be a bit of a pain to prepare and cook. Well not any more. We’re going to tell you how to take cook swede the easy way.
You put your swede into the microwave for between 15 and 20 minutes (depending on its size), turning half way through.
And that’s it.
Afterwards just cut off the top of the swede, scoop out the delicious contents and bin the remaining skin. Then season your swede well and enjoy as a side to your meal (or as a snack if you love it as much as I do).
What’s even better is that this method of cooking swede is known, rather cheerily, as the ‘singing swede’ as it whistles while it cooks.
This is slimming world friendly too, so it really is the perfect easy side dish. Enjoy!
